Mission Geometry!

I have always loved math, but I have always favored algebra over geometry. This year, I must say, Geometry has really grown on me, lookout algebra! I have found new innovative ways to translate geometry to my students and I must say , they love the Geometry MISSION. Some love it more than the Algebra MISSION! Always looking for new ways to introduce math concepts to students!

Me: Start drawing parallel lines and a transverse.
Student: Mr.Williams , you didn't give us anything to write on.
Me: You can write on your desk!
Student: REALLY!

Mission: Math103 Math On The Gulf Coast and Tropical Storm Gordon

Good Morning! School has begun and I think 2018-2019 is off to a great start! My students desire to learn and work together has been very evident in room 28! We have been out of school because of severe weather, but the learning never stops! There's always something to learn about math on the Gulf coast! Whether it's determining the speed of a boat on the bay or the the speed it takes for a tropical storm to turn to a hurricane. Thankfully, we didn't have to encounter the latter!

There is nothing like living on the Gulf coast! Jet Skiing , Fishing, Swimming, sightseeing, boating, and  severe weather LOL! This is a picture of the calm before the storm.. #TropicalStormGordon2018
